Utilities include your electric
bill, natural gas, water supply and trash pickup services only.
Please note that while some utility companies accept bill payments
on a credit card, others do not. Check with your utility company for
details on their credit card payment policy. Exclude those of
your utilities that do not accept credit cards from the Utilities line on the calculator. |

The Cash Back amount
represents a calculation based on the formula for earning cash back
on the card as stated in its Terms and Conditions. The
calculated amount assumes you are putting all of your
expenses on that card. Details for doing this safely are
included in the tutorial. |

Some of these cards have
introductory cash back percentages that range from 90 days to 1
year. The earnings over a 2 year span are presented to gauge
the longer-term cash back of the card once the special percentages
are no longer in effect. |

The quarterly 3% special offers
have been excluded from the Chase Freedom calculation since what
qualifies for the special rebate varies from quarter-to-quarter.
The "up to 10%" Chase online shopping mall rebates have also been
excluded. I recommend
BigCrumbs
instead for online shopping. The rebate from the Chase Freedom card
would be higher without these exclusions. |
